Friday - Sunday 13 - 15 June, Visit to Winster to celebrate re-enactment of Cecil Sharpe's visit in 1908. Superb day with the best of traditional morris. Pictures here.
Saturday 7 June, Mason's Apron Day of Dance, Woodstock.Great fun, great audiences, beer outrageously expensive except in The King's Head - a proper pub! Sad to say, The Duke of Marlbrough didn't come out to see us doing his dance. Probably worried that the chap at the gate would charge him to get back in!
Thursday 5 June, Evening pub tour. Fleur de Lys, East Hagbourne and Rose and Crown, Chilton. Great audiences, finished with musical evening, enlivened by Amanda from Liverpool.
Bank Holiday Monday 26 May, Harwell Feast sadly rained off again. Later at Bampton - smashing evening with smashing people. No streaker this year!
Sunday 25 May, Wedding at Ardington House. Idyllic surroundings and a very enjoyable occasion.
Thursday 22 May, Joint pub tour with Oxford City and University combined team.
Sunday 18th May, Sutton Courtney Fete, dancing 1.00pm outside the Swan.
Saturday 17 May, Dancing on Market Square, Abingdon, for Spring Festival.
Wednesday 14 May, Dancing at Abingdon Town Council meeting at which Town Mayor for municipal year 2008 - 2009 (Cllr Patrick Lonergan) was installed.
Thursday 8 May, Pub Tour at Brewery Tap.
Sunday 4 May. Outing to Cosham, Hants for charity event. Organised by Bob Beaver. Really good day, low profile and hugely enjoyable.
Saturday 3 May, Side danced at Festival of Dance on Abingdon Marketplace.
Wednesday 24 April, Morrismen soundly defeated a team assembled by the Mayor of Abingdon and retained the Sam Jones Cup in the Brewery Tap. Actvities included darts, crib, nailknocking, draughts and a quiz.
Wednesday 23 April, St George's Day - Dancing outside The Old Anchor and the Punchbowl, Abingdon. Huge Crowds. Great Night. Should be a public holiday!!
